Welcome To SweatFreeWU.com

Our goals are to educate members of the Willamette community on sweatshops and their connections to race, gender, and class exploitation; to foster an atmosphere in which community members are empowered to take action on these issues; and to ultimately transition the Willamette store to sweatfree merchandise.

Our Goals

  • To educate the Willamette University campus about sweatshops and sweatshop labor.
  • To bring awareness to the campus and provide students and faculty with the tools to make an informed decision.
  • To work with the Willamette Store and bring a sweatshop-free campus to Willamette.
  • To compile as many signatures as we can on the petition to enforce WU's anti - sweatshop policy.
  • To give a voice to sweatshop workers who are often times overlooked.
  • To provide a place where those who share the same ideals can speak with one another in a safe, friendly environment.
